In the day and age of rampant computer hacking and identity theft, keeping information such as medical records, social security numbers, and other personal data safe, is difficult but critical. The OnlyRead product includes an Encrypter, which codes the data preventing anyone without the OnlyRead Viewer from reading the information. Information cannot be copied or printed, so your content remains safe.
When the encrypted files are viewed, OnlyRead logs important information about the viewing to a log, providing you with valuable auditing information of your users.
How OnlyRead Works for You
The OnlyRead Encrypter and Viewer are simple to set up and use. OnlyRead is a cost-effective product that provides basic security with the following features:
- encrypted data files can only be read using corresponding OnlyRead Viewer
- customers with the viewer can only read encoded files, not print or copy them
- the encryption and viewing applications were built at the same time
- both the encrypted file and the viewer contain the same unique embedded customer key
- data encrypted with one customer key cannot be viewed by any other customer key
- confidential data is not only encrypted, but also compressed
- viewing information is logged to a file, which details who viewed the encrypted data and how often
