How StopCopy Works for You
StopCopy is simple to set up and use. StopCopy is a cost-effective product that handles most companies’ basic needs, including:
- block file operations, but not file access. Users can still edit files, but cannot copy, delete, move or rename them
- prevent users from running specified programs in your workplace
- identify users and what their attempted action was to a file or folder
- monitor attempted file operations as they occur through a main console window
- create a accessible hidden log on the agent machine that records all operations -- even when the agent machine is disconnected from the network
- deny operations on local or networked folders that contain more than a specified number of files. Folders containing less than the specified number will then go through any customized file filters
- prevent activities to folders based on a specified folder size limit. If a folder exceeds the size limit, reject any copy, rename or move operations to that folder
StopCopy works with Windows XP and Windows 2000. We currently do not offer support for Windows Vista.
